Q. What's the difference between tea, herbs and tisanes?
A. True teas are made from the Camellia sinensis plant. Herbal teas do
not contain tea leaves but are created from herbs and spices. Tisanes
are made from fruits.
Q. How should I store my tea?
A. Store your tea in a cool, dry, dark place, preferably in an opaque
tin or jar. Store no longer than a year to prevent spoilage, deterioration,
or loss of flavor.
Q. What's the caffeine content in tea?
A. Brewed coffee has an average of 110 mg. of caffeine per serving while
brewed tea has an average of only 40 mg. of caffeine per serving.
Q. Can I still drink tea even if I'm caffeine sensitive?
A. Approximately 80% of caffeine can be removed from tea by steeping the
tea for 30 seconds and pouring off the water. Add water again and steep
for the proper amount of time.
