Recently at Steeped and Infused we hosted Crave Toronto’s Monthly Chat.  Sheena Repath, founder of Ideal Samples Inc spoke to an amazing group of women about the importance of knowing your niche.  Below is a snap shot of Sheena’s expert advice.

Knowing your ideal client and understanding your niche market is the basic foundation upon which every successful business is built. Trying to be all things to all people will leave you being nothing to anyone. Having a clear picture of your ideal client is more than knowing who they are and where to sell to them.

Wouldn’t you like to know…

Who is going to buy from you that you want to do business with?

Who is going to give you the greatest return on your marketing investment?

Which customers will be the easiest to find, easiest to sell to, and require the least amount of customer service?

Who will stay with you the longest and spend the most with you over that period of time?

When you can answer these questions, business gets a lot easier and a lot more profitable. In order to know exactly who your ideal client is, you must know specific demographic and psychographic information.  This information is essential for properly developing and positioning your product or service to ensure your business meets your ideal client’s wants and needs.

Save yourself time & money and clearly identify who your ideal client is. It will allow you to effectively develop your products and services for them and successfully sell to them on a regular basis.
